  1. bjs<< You may want to try removing the APC software to see if it is the culprit. I have heard of several strange issues caused by some of their packages. V
  2. It isn't freezing at all. It is just reporting an incomplete status. I think i'm ok now. There is something wacky in one of the user mailboxes. Thanks for the help!
  3. I was wrong. The last mailbox is processing correctly. This is the log from the last attempt. Does Retrospect now report a backup session as incomplete if it has problems with any of the mailboxes? I seem to remember it used to report "Completed with errors" or something like that. - 2/21/2008 11:13:34 AM: Verifying EXCHANGE 2/21/2008 11:38:45 AM: Execution completed successfully Completed: 7206 files, 83.2 GB Performance: 3492.4 MB/minute Duration: 00:25:11 (00:00:48 idle/loading/preparing) 2/21/2008 11:38:47 AM: Execution incomplete Total duration: 02:05:58 (00:41:49 idle/loading/preparing)
  4. Exchange is a client PC. Retrospect is loaded on a local storage box. 1st and 2nd storage groups are successful. The error has halted the operation while backing up one certain mailbox. This mailbox in queston is the last (95 of 95) on the list. The other 94 boxes backup fine. I will omit that mailbox tonight and see if it is able to proceed. I initially found it odd that of all 95 of the mailboxes it is only having a problem with the last one. The only error listed was posted in the earlier post. The operation fails gracefully without forceful termination.
  5. Yes. All the above steps were performed to a T. We were able to backup the entire box including the individual mailboxes initially. The error started after this initial "seed" backup.
  6. I have run into a problem with this latest build. Everything starts out great but Retrospect hangs up during or immediately after backing up the last user's Exchange 2007 mailbox. error -3407 (unexpected provider error) Any ideas? Thanks, V
  7. Looking good so far! Thanks Mayoff!
  8. I wasn't trying to kill the messenger. I appreciate your input Mayoff but I do not feel that this project has received the attention it deserves based on the huge delay. The previously posted due date was Q4 2007.
  9. I would gladly settle for barebones Exchange 2007 functionality at this point. New backup functionality should be put on the back burner. I am going to hold out until the end of Jan. before I start migrating back to Arcserve. Enough is enough.
  10. Any news on when Exchange 2007 will be supported? I understand that the EMC Retrospect team has been scaled back to a skeleton crew but any additional info on a projected release date would be greatly appreciated.
