  1. I've written a .bat file that I'm trying to execute before I start the backup but it does not seem to work. Problem I'm having is Windows goes into a sleep state, so I've created this .bat file to temporarily change the sleep time. It says it executed successfully but it does not run. I've tested the .bat file outside of Retrospect and it works great. Any ideas? Secondly, is the shutdown client when done option valid for windows, it does not appear to work either. Thanks.
  2. Amy, I'm running the latest verison of Retrospect (7.5.387) with Vista Home Premium x86. I did check the event logs and found VSS errors. I have since tried running it a couple of more times and not had the error pop up. It seems to be hit and miss. I'll try to keep an eye on it and if it happens again, I'll try to check the services to make sure its running. Don't know what else to do at this point. Thanks for the help.
  3. Th full error message is as follows: Can't use Open File Backup option for Garmin on HP (C:), error -1017 (insufficient permissions) Does anyone know how to correct this error with O/S Vista? Thx.
