    Not enough space???

Yes, it's set correctly, to use the entire disk. It works most of the time, but it's given me this problem twice in about the last 8 months. For the grooming, I've used both the "Retrospect defined policy" and the "remove backups older than X". It's currently set to the "defined policy" because I had this same problem with the "older than" setting. I just tried rebuilding the catalog file, but after 15 hours, I decided I'd recycle the backup set. This will come up again, though, and I need a solid solution. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks, Kevin
  2. Greetings, I'm backing up to a disk set and a message pops up saying I've run out of space. That's fair enough--if it were true. There's actually 880GB free on the disk. I run into this about every couple of months and have to recycle the set in order to continue the backups. Here's my setup: Backup type: Proactive Physical disk (local): 5.45TB total, 880GB free Backup set members show: Size - 5585.9 GB total, 0% free As you can see, Retrospect is not evaluating the disk space correctly. Grooming doesn't solve the problem. If I recycle the set, it will most likely fill the disk up in a couple of weeks like normal, groom, groom, groom, then after several more weeks, it will again say, the set was groomed, but that did not free up enough space. We're running Retrospect 7.6.123. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
  3. Greetings, This same problem just cropped up for me, only it worked a few months ago when we used Exchange 2003. Since then, we've upgraded to Exchange 2007 and today, I just installed the Retrospect update for Exchange 2007 support. Now, it's saying "Exchange Mailbox Logon -- Sorry, authentication failed. Please retry". Both the domain administrator login and the local machine administrator credentials give the same results. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin
  4. Greetings, One of my backup scripts set for "Normal Backup" recently started doing a full backup each night when only about 50GB out of 1.2TB is changed. It used to work properly until a little over a month ago. I think it started about the time the restrospect driver update took place on 7/11/2007. The Retrospect Client is installed on the client machine. Oddly enough, my other backup scripts seem to work as expected under Normal Backup. We are using Windows 2003 Server (all updates applied), Retrospect 7.5.387 (updates, and a Dell ML6010 Tape Library. Any ideas on how I can get this thing back to "normal"? Thanks, Kevin
