  7. I installed Retrospect Client 7.6.106 on an XP box. When trying to add the client via Retrospect Backup 6.1.126 on my Mac OS 10.4.11 Xserve, I receive the following error: Error 525 (name/login conflict) I tried re-installing the client and I still receive the same error. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't Ping or Add User ?

Problem solved. There is a setting under one of the menus in the Cisco VPN client called "Statefull Firewall (always on)". I deselected that option and this problem is now fixed. Thanks for the feedback.

Can't Ping or Add User ?

I opened these ports via the "Exceptions" tab in the Firewall Control Panel and restarted. Unfortunately I still can not ping the machine. How do you do this using Multicast and subnet broadcast? Any other ideas?
  10. After June 9th I no longer can ping an XP box on our network, I need to get access the Retrospect Client. The last time this happened it was due to a MS update. All firewalls are turned off and anti-virus is turned off. The machine is running the latest Retrospect client and is on SP2. Any ideas on how to remedy this issue? Thanks in advance!
  11. I have Retrospect Client 7.0 installed on an XP box. I have installed and reinstalled several times. When launching the Client it is turned to the "Off" radio button and greyed out. The Status says "Client networking not available, or service not running..." When I go to the Service and try to start it, it says "Error 2, can not locate specified file" When going to regedit to delete the service, it is not listed or I am unsure of the exact service name. HELP!!! Can anyone please please please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
