full backup to HD - daily snapshot to tape?

Well, I don't want to have to make a complete tape backup. it would take a week to complete and it would require to many tapes. The hard drive backup only takes 2 days. So I just want to copy the daily incremental snapshots to tape. Is this possible?
  3. I have a backup job that consists of backing up a file server to a hard drive cluster. The size of the backup is about 1.5 TB. the amount of files that copy over every night for snapshots is about 180 gigs. How can I copy JUST the 180 gigs of modified files to tape every night. When I do a "copy snapshot" the entire 1.5 TB is copied over.

  5. I have a rather large file server of about 2.5 TB. Less that 20% of those files are actually being modified on a daily basis. 1. I would like to be able to back up the entire file server onto an external hard drive/drives to send out to a remote storage facility. 2. I would like to make daily tape backups of the changed/modified files to be sent to remote storage facility on a rotating schedule. The best method of automating this would be greatly appreciated I have an EXABYTE VXA-2 autoloader.
  6. I'm running a backup of a folder residing on a Windows NTFS file server. This folder is used by a mac user and this user connects via afp:// not smb or cifs. When I run a backup there are numerous "didn't compare" errors on files that have not been modified or accessed in the recent past. Does any one have any idea why this could be?
