  1. I have some files on a Red Hat box that have the greek letter μ in them, and Retrospect refuses to back them up giving me a 'can't read, error -1101 (file/directory not found)'. Any idea on how to fix this (other than changing the file names).
  2. Had a HD crash on one of our Red Hat servers, and noticed when we were restoring that retrospect skipped over empty folders in both the incremental and data copy backups. Is this a preference i can change somewhere (if so where?) or is it a bug (if so is there a workaround?)
  3. We just recently added a 2TB HD to our backup system, and i moved a bunch of backup sets over to it. I just used windows to do this, and pointed the backup set to the new disc. I then deleted the backup sets off the original disc, but then disc space available on the original disc has not gone up at all. Seeing as how these backup sets take up almost 200 G, im wondering if retrospect is doing something like reserving space on the original HD for these backup sets even though they are not there anymore. If this is the case, what can i do to fix this?
  4. I'm backing up a mailserver (Kerio), and am getting different modify date/time errors. I'm assuming that the files are getting touched between the time Retro checks the mailserver and the time it takes to get to backing up the file. Do these files get backed up? If not what can i do to make sure they are getting backed up?
  5. We recently upgraded a SUSE box to 10 that we have a Retrospect Client on. After the upgrade we now get this error when trying to run it: /usr/local/dantz/client/retroclient: relocation error: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: symbol _dl_out_of_memory, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference Any suggestions?
  6. I was doing some grooming on 5 backup sets when Retrospect crashed. Now when i try to goto the backup set i get error -2259 (incomplete grooming detected). What shoul i do to fix this?
  7. I'm using Retro for windows trying to back up a mac. For the past couple of days, i've been getting error -2350 (File end missing) and then Trouble reading files, error -519 (network communication failed)...i've checked the files in question and they are fine, i've checked the network connections and they are fine... is there anything else to look for here?
