Does this error mean that the backup client or the backup server has run out of memory? Our backup server has 8GB of RAM and has never dropped below 6GB of available RAM:

The backup computer is low on memory. How much RAM do you have? How much free space on the C: disk?

Hi Robin...

The server has 8GB of RAM, and has never fallen below 6GB of RAM. The C drive has 20GB free.

When I re-queued the backup, it ran fine. This may just be a fluke, but I thought that I'd post it anyway.

Don't forget that you need between 5 and 15GB of free space on the C: disk for each execution unit you are running so that memory can be cached to disk as needed.

Retrospect is a 32 bit program, so it can't use more then 2 GB of physical RAM.
