jhg
In the log: The description for Event ID 1 from source Retrospect cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: Execution terminated unexpectedly, possibly due to a power failure or system crash. The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file Here's a screenshot of the Event Viewer: However, Retrospect DID NOT terminate unexpectedly, I launched it manually at exactly the time this event was logged. What does this error mean?

Doug_M
Did you ever sort this out? I've been seeing the same error nearly every day for quite some time. Windows server 2019, latest version of Retrospect 18, LTO 8 library. I have 3 scripts scheduled to run each night, with plenty of time between so there's no waiting. The error is logged at the exact start time of one of the 3 scripts. 6/7 nights per week this error is logged at the start of one of my 3 nightlies. They always complete successfully, but I'd really like to get to the bottom of it.
Mayoff
Event ID 1 is not an actual failure of any kind. It can be ignored.
Doug_M
Thanks Mayoff I've been ignoring it, as it doesn't seem to affect anything, but do you know what triggers this (non)error and why?
