That thread IMHO has been comparatively ignored because s/he posted it in Device and Hardware Compatibility-Windows. Also, for those users who don't have unlimited upload bandwidth or time or money, there is an extremely popular thread over in the Retrospect 9 or higher for Mac forum which boiled down to a discussion of how to groom a multi-year local backup down to a single year for duplication in the cloud. Unfortunately it uses Retrospect Mac terminology, which for historical reasons going back to 2009 differs from Retrospect Windows terminology.
